Project-j is a furniture design company founded by Jackie Luk in 2016. Trained as an Architect, Jackie learned furniture design while studying in Denmark. Her work embodies the essence of Nordic design—characterized by simplicity and functionality. Her architectural background significantly shapes her design process, and informs her approach to form and function. Focusing on material qualities, through material exploration and adaptation of digital fabrication techniques, Jackie creates unique pieces that enhances aesthetics and fit into modern living.

While Project-j's early works explored light and pattern, the reconnection with Asia and the challenges of urban living inspired a deeper investigation into space-saving forms and diverse materials. Recent designs, such as Hexa Duet and Hexa Wood, utilize space-saving concepts, pushing materials to their full potential. The outcome is a unique integration of materials, traditional craftsmanship, and innovative fabrication techniques, producing one-of-a-kind products derived from this exploration.
